Explore Youngstown’s arts, history, sports, music, and community during First Fridays in the Wick Corridor and Smoky Hollow! Visit local cultural institutions, enjoy hands-on activities, discover Youngstown’s past and present, and spend the evening supporting neighborhood businesses.

The Butler Institute of American Art

The Butler will remain open until 8:00 PM for First Fridays, featuring Michael Zagaris: 60 Years of NFL Photography in the newly renovated Donnell Sports Gallery.

The Butler’s Education Department will offer hands-on art activities in various media inspired by the Zagaris exhibition and the America 250 Ohio Sports theme.

Live Music: Kaston Guffey of My Politic | 7:00 PM–9:00 PM

Kaston Guffey is the singer-songwriter of My Politic, an indie-folk duo he formed with Nick Pankey. The two grew up in the Ozarks and have performed together for more than 15 years, building a catalog known for vivid storytelling, memorable characters, acoustic musicianship, and close harmonies.

Their latest album, Signs of Life, was released in May 2025 to critical acclaim. The duo has toured with folk artists including Adeem the Artist, Margo Cilker, and Jaimee Harris, and has appeared at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Guffey lives in Pittsburgh and is focusing on new songs and solo touring throughout 2027.
